Truth's Pale Horse
No truthful fable is spoken
without travel down meandering lanes.
I have ridden truth's pale horse
into your house, bridled her
to your fireplace,
not for you to ignore her.
Your death will not be mine.
I do not seek jupiter or saturn.
I seek a way to bear loneliness,
to bring it to form,
to make from the heart.
You will not shake me from her back.
Do not mistake me
for your other men.
I am the rider
Truth's pale horse.
